Yep, Sunflower Showdown Once Again

It's time once again for the Jayhawks Beatdown... err, I mean Sunflower Showdown. The 2016 edition is in Manhattan Kansas Saturday.

After KU did the stupid thing (for the rest of the Big XII) and beat Texas and got Charlie Strong fired (dangit), the Jayhawks are looking for their second consecutive win. Umm, yeah right.

After K-State beat Baylor in Waco last weekend 42-21, it looks like the team has "found an identity" - running the ball on offense, and doing it with redshirt freshman Alex Barnes. #34 looks to be the back that K-State fans have wanted for years. He has good vision and definately runs with power.

Head Coach Bill Snyder will be playing for his 200th victory. At home. On Senior Day.

If there was a game I wish he would run up the score, it would be this one. But, I'm afraid he won't do that to another coach.

What I do see is K-State playing the best game of the year and winning 48-13.

If I am wishing for other things, it is that K-State beats TCU next weekend, and going into a decent bowl game, it is announced that Snyder is retiring after the 2017 season and Brent Venables is coming in to be the HCIW and defensive coordinator.

What... it could happen.
